I found the skirt at a thrift shop, and decided to take it because I like the fabric. I thought I might be able to use it for something else. While I was shopping, I saw the matching jacket on another hanger nearby. It was not being sold as a suit. I tried on the jacket in the store, and it fit well enough, so I bought both pieces. They were a quarter each.
I came home and tried them on, and added the cowboy boots because the skirt was a little too short for shoes.
I showed John. He said, “you look just like Barbara Stanwyck as Victoria Barker in Happy Valley.” We looked it up. I can see the point. Added the hat. I may keep the outfit as is.
